Electric cars have been around for since the 1830’s. Yes, that’s not a typo … over 180 years ago electric vehicles were cruising down the streets, or hay fields. Now in 2013, we are once again revisiting the electric car as energy conservation becomes more important. Formula 1 car racing is the fastest and most technical of all auto racing. Next year, the F1 organization will have Formula E .. all electric race cars.
By putting electric race cars on the track, its is hoped that public opinion and desire for electric cars will increase. Certainly electric vehicles are seen as less powerful and limiting. Tesla Automotive has risen to the occasion to also demonstrate that electric vehicles can be exciting.Hopefully, things like Tesla and F1 – Electric racing will promote change and stimulate companies to keep pursuing new innovations which ultimately may greatly change the face of our automotive energy world.
You probably have heard or read about robots helping or performing surgery but have you heard of robots going ‘inside’ the body?
Right now, they are working on tiny nano robotics to go inside the eye. The nano robot is maneuvered through an intricate magnetic field around the patients head, guiding it to its desired location. In the future it is hoped that these nano robots will deliver medications directly to the site where it is needed like in Age Related Macular Degeneration. Also, perhaps one day even repair the arteries inside the eye or a detached retina which most likely would result in much better vision.
With all the negative high speed internet news we’re bombarded with everyday now, it’s often a bit difficult to stay balanced with family, work and our own lives. This little saying has survived many years and generations. From time to time, I find it refreshing to take a few minutes to savor it; often finding a certain line is actually so pertinent right at the moment in my life. I hope you find enjoyment also……..
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ( I added the smiley )
